_________________________________________________________________________________________________ JBG welcomes volunteers every week at our Garfield Farm location (4008 River. Rd Cedar Creek, TX) where we grow all of our veggies. Volunteer  for a half day in exchange for a share of veggies.  Our Garfield Farm accepts volunteers Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:00-1:00.

How to Volunteer

If you're interested in volunteering, please RSVP through this link. Please note that depending on the season, we may or may not be offering volunteer opportunities at our Garfield farm. After you submit the form, we will send a confirmation email as quickly as possible and we will also send you a reminder just before your scheduled shift.  Please note that due to liability concerns, all volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and sign a waiver before volunteering.

JBG - Garfield Farm

Our Garfield Farm is where all of our vegetables are grown. This 200 acre farm is located about halfway between Austin and Bastrop right along the Colorado River, so expect a mini-road trip when choosing to volunteer at the “Big Farm”, as we call it. Most of the time, volunteers help out in our greenhouses, seeding transplants and getting them ready to go into the ground. This work is seated, and so is the perfect job for someone who needs to rest their legs. Occasionally, Garfield volunteers help out in the fields - picking tomatoes, planting, or weeding. If you prefer to do greenhouse seeding, make sure to email us before hand to confirm that’s what we have planned for the day. Volunteer shifts at Garfield are Monday-Friday, from 8:30 - 1pm. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water and snacks. RSVP here.
