Since the onset of Covid-19, the City of Austin wisely declared farmers' markets important food access points. JBG attends 12 different farmers' markets every week, pumping thousands of pounds of organic produce onto local plates. This past weekend, Scott captured some great shots from the Mueller Farmers' Market, located just near the corner of Airport Blvd. and 1-35 under the old Mueller airport hanger. As you'll see, masks are the new normal for market-goers and JBG staff, alike. Thanks, Scott, for capturing these market moments!

Since the start of Covid-19, customers are not allowed to enter any JBG market booth. Instead, produce is displayed on tables and customers "order" what they want from the JBG staff. Photo by Scott David Gordon.
Our market staff have had to adapt their booth setups to meet this irregular system. Here, the Mueller staff made sample bins displaying each and every item available in the tent that day, including prices. Photo by Scott David Gordon.

We think this is Blake, but who can be sure? Prior to Covid, market staff would take turns running the register, stocking bins, helping CSA members, etc. Since the onset of Covid, we have assigned our market staff specific rolls that they abide to the entire shift. Looks like Blake was our stocker for the day! Photo by Scott David Gordon.
